Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, and the Palisades School District are supported by local taxes.  These taxes are based on real estate property assessments and are collected by an elected Tax Collector on behalf of the Township.

Every tax parcel owner in Nockamixon Township should be receiving 2 real estate tax bills.  The County & Municipal bill is mailed in March, and the Palisades School District tax bill is mailed in July.  If you are not receiving your tax bills, it may be due to an incorrect address and it is returned to me as undeliverable.  Please contact me if you are not getting your real estate tax bills.

Convenience fees do apply when using credit/debit.  2.5% will be charged for credit /debit.

TIPS FOR PAYING BY CREDIT/DEBIT:

Allow enough time for your payments to be processed.  DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST WEEK TO SCHEDULE YOUR PAYMENT AS IT MAY NOT ARRIVE BY THE DUE DATE.

The Transaction Status may state “Successful” but Approval and Funds Deposited in the Tax Collector’s Account may take up to 96 hours for a credit/debit card. Transactions are not considered payments until the funds are in the Tax Collector’s account.

Take a Second Look Before Mailing Your Payment: 

• Is the Check Dated?
• Is the Check Signed?
• Is the Legal Line Written Exactly for the Tax Amount Owed?

When sending your payment, please complete the contact information found on the back of the bill.  Every attempt will be made to contact you by phone or email if there is a problem with your check before your check is returned back to you.

ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME FOR YOUR PAYMENT TO ARRIVE BEFORE THE DUE DATE.

CERTIFIED MAIL WILL HELP YOU TRACK YOUR ENVELOPE BY USPS.

The postal system continues to have issues that impact residents.  Please do not wait until the last days before a tax bill is due to mail your payment.  It is a gamble that it will arrive in a timely manner with a proper USPS postmark.

IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE LAST WEEK, BRING YOUR ENVELOPE INTO THE POST OFFICE AND REQUEST THE CLERK TO POSTMARK YOUR ENVELOPE.

Also, do not place your envelopes in the blue mailboxes outside the post offices.  Post offices no longer sort the mail in the outside blue mailboxes, the mail goes directly to a distribution site for sorting.

Please be aware there is an ongoing problem with thieves fishing mail out of outside mailboxes and "washing" checks.  Police departments have warned the public not to use the outside mailboxes until the outside mailboxes have been secured.

Checks will be processed upon receipt.  Postdated checks will not be held.
