PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE

Meeting Dates: The Parks and Recreation Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at varying times according to member schedules. The public is welcome, but please check with the office regarding meeting dates and times.

Formation: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Nockamixon 3-17-2004 by Ord. No. 113. The Historic Commission is comprised of up to 7 volunteer members appointed by the Board of Supervisors to 5-year terms. Members must be residents of Nockamixon Township.

Purpose: A principal purpose of the Parks and Recreation Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors in fostering a meaningful and satisfying program of leisure and recreational activities and events for the residents of Nockamixon Township, enhancing physical, emotional, mental, and social growth. The Park and Recreation Board shall recommend to the Board of Supervisors a budget for equipping, operating, and maintaining recreation places and facilities in the Township.
